ANyone know how to make a Real style gun cam in IL-2? not from the players view so when your shooting at planes it starts to record and when you stop shooting it stops and saves it>?

yeah javaguncan, never got it to be work for me, takes a lot of pics. suppose you use ntrk to record you scoring then switch the view to full screen, then record with fraps, open with video editor, make grainy and black and white and then compress to small file.

The was Program called Growler GunCam also. I have a demo copy of it.
When it is set upe properly it does a good job. It can add all kinds of effects to make
your recordins look close real footage.

The Growler guncam only adds the basic layers, grain, lines & desaturate. It doesnt fiddle with the lighting or anything, one can achieve almost the same thing with windows movie maker. I had a pair of scripts for VirtualDub when I used to make guncam vids and it made it look great, it added flickering adjusted contrast, grain etc. etc. came up with very real looking vids. Too bad I lost the scripts. I think it was called a "GunCamBundle" or something similar.

The website for the growler GunCam is www.growlersoftware.com.
This can be set up record continuos or like I prefer when you squeeze the trigger for guns.
If you want to record lifelike footage you have to engage your target in the full screen mode
with no reticle. after that you can edit it to black and white, color, and different types of film grain.
I tend to fly with normal cockpit view then switch to no cockpit when I engage the target.

I thik two tings:
1st-You can record your hole game then on the footige to play it on no cocpit vew and cut out only the sence that you need
2nd-That the program made this all by it self when you pres the triger to start recoeding with no cocpit vew but you to be with cocpit what do you think?
