Gents, I installed the V4.08 and then the Eng_Sound_Mod_V92.EXE but the game
I didn´t make it... Help me

Did you install the filelist.txt? That was the mistake I made at first! Remember, though, that the startup screen will remain Russian- but the other stuff will change to English.

it is not very difficoult... lets make it simple as follow:
Douwnload here the soundmod, wich version doesn't matter.
(The link is inoperative)
Before you install the mod, please backup the Files "il2fb.exe" and "Files.sfs" ... cause this are original Files, maybe, you need them some time.
The Easy-Installer Option should help you, that everything is on the right place after install.
It should look like
(Your Root to the Game)\IL-2 1946 (

Its to do with your sound set-up - had the same problem, think you have to drop from 44*** - 22*** or vice-versa in the audio set-up.

same thing happened to me. turns out i was using the old icon .exe to launch the game. took me a couple minutes to figure that one out.

me too..run il2setup.exe and set sound to whatever it says in the sound mod readme

WOW!!! Worked like a charm!!! It was the sound! Thanks a lot guys! The next step is to modified the in-game plane

go to the root directory for your modded version of the game, and open \files\i18n
You will find a file called plane_ru. Back-up this file!
Open plane_ru with notepad and modify text in column on right.
