i would like it if people here could design/create us a loading screen for our mod-packs & then if ok with you all the admin & moderators could pick 10 out for a vote - it dosnt have to say AAA or anything like that just something tasty lol something that looks real nice - the winning design would have there splash screen used in the mod-packs we could have 3 finilists with 1st being for the super mod pack (all flyable aircraft mods) then 2nd all bombers mod-pack & 3rd being the fighters/fighter-bombers mod-pack - im not exactly sure about this yet as im unsure if anyone would choose only fighters or choose only bombers ? just not sure

.... but i'll tell it right in front i can not choose between Sojka's(Jura) and vpmedia's art ...never could (like them both) ... but that is just me , heck maybe there is someone new who'll surprise me.

... put them as background0.tga / background0.mat in : files\gui\

add to filelist.txt:

gui/background0.mat
gui/background0.tga

Beacause I use a wide screen monitor I realy don't like those two vertical bars on the side... so I came up with this ideea:

The load screen (from "files\gui\") is this:

a 1024x768 TGA file


When loading is looking like this:



and the Background from menus is a complete black TGA file... so it's looking like this:



I thought... I shouldn't go too far from the game after all. So... how about the box cover?

One question to zaelu: Where can I find the menu background.tga? Loading screen, found that, menu buttons and look, found too (basicelements.tga) but the menu background remained hidden...

is a file named "Background.tga" (yup... same name) positioned in the "missions" folder.

Usualy is changed during campaigns or single missions with the appropiate ones of the plane/country you fly. That in the "missions" folder is the "generic one".
