What about those of us who upgraded directly to '46 from 4.04m (due to bandwidth issues for instance?). It would be piracy to make a 4.05 patch would it not? This kind of kills modding potential for much of the community.
is anyone gonna tell how? its been silent from everyone.
we need a tutorial of how to go to 4.04m & then to 4.05

4.05 was PE2 Peshka which added the Pe2 and Pe3 as flyables and some new ground objects.
I think it was only available as a paid for download addon from Ubisoft and I cannot find it on their site now.
It was packaged with Sturmoviks over Manchuria(4.06) and the 1946 addon(4.07) and all other released IL2 content and sold as IL2 1946.
I have no idea if it is possible to seperate 4.05 from the others on the 1946 install disc.
BTW, there are readmes for each version, 4.05, 4.06 and 4.07 on the 1946 disc.
Wouldn't it be better to have 4.04 modding?
I agree with Uther - 4.04 would be more popular.
I think IL2 Complete Edition, straight out of the box, is 4.04....?
Anybody who have 4.08 have 4.05 too all they need is to make another install of Il2 and make some small changes to have 4.05.

Really? This is definetly good news.
my goodness its been like a month and noone has specifically stated t ous how to roll our 4.08s back to 4.04
why.... i could make a patch for it.... but... do 4.08 users want to go back to 4.04 ??
I made a patch for 4.04 which made it 4.08.
Heres wat was needed. exe, 4 or 5 .dll files, files.sfs and a few 3do's and maps.
So for the reverse proecess all u need is the orig .dll's the files.sfs leave the new 3DO's, Apply the old .exe and done.
