Ok...it's too much work and not useful on many servers. How can I get rid of it without completely re-installing 1946 and all of the patches and mods I've been using for the past month?

Practice more... its really not that difficult to get the hang of.

To uninstall just find the 6 files you copied into your files folder and delete em, then replace your EXE with the sound mod EXE and you should be good to go. If all else fails... reinstall.

did you make a backup of your original ?

Install the files into a separate clean directory. The installer should unpack them.

Now that they are separate copy in all of the hash files using "cut and pace".
Then hit "control key + Z" and click yes. This should delete the hash files and deactivate the mod.
