Modding tutorial
#1

Perhaps it may be benificial for the community to create a tutorial on how to create simple mods such as gunsights, replacing aircraft components and cockpits etc. This might help relieve the stress on the modders, as well as stop the annoying arguments that arise when people request a mod and some bright person comes along and says "do it yourself"...

Ok, I'll third that. A tutorial - or at least a small guide would prove to be quite beneficial to the whole community Wink

Is this going to happen? Someone in in the Beta section seems to want one pretty bad.

The experienced modders here seem to keep the cards close to their chests as the expression goes. SG2_Wasy did answer some questions and Hellzone was helping people at combat ace though. Just don't expect much help here.

Of course, my experience could be that I introduced myself here by stating (in jest I assure you) that "I would annoy people if I could" and proposing an FM/DM mod (something I immediately backed down on). I also publicly published a mod here when MrJolly didn't review it about two weeks after it had been submitted and I'm not sure he liked that. I also probably lost some credibility with this as I missed the addition of a second plate of glass on the cockpits of the aircraft.

So, good luck on having a more effective carer than I have had.

P.S. Does anyone know of a better program for working the class than JavaBite?
