Yes.

Any mpeg1 layer3 saved as a .wav file has always worked.

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\samples\Music

folders for

Menu
Takeoff
Inflight
Crash

How could you stand the stock tunes for so long ?

I encoded mine with Magix Samplitude, but seem to recall reading somewhere that just changing the name of an .mp3 to .wav can work.

For the menu you need to use the same name as the originals :

ru.wav
de.wav
gb.wav
us.wav
etc.

I have used Music from "Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood"

I found an free converter to get the files to WAV,

than I had saved WAV with MP3-Layer....works fine !!
