Yeah, we need a Lancaster first. But ME STILL WANTEY!

As I keep saying to my squad, If maddox made a whole lot of new aircraft, and nothing else, then chucked on a DVD for $50 he would make so much money from the die hard fans of this sim. This is one of those aircraft he should make (and the Lancaster, of course. And Spit Mk 1, and some late war Ju88's, and...)

Quite so.

for the
  • Halifax
    Stirling
    Wellington
    Lancaster
    Sunderland
    Swordfish
    Whirlwind
    Battle
    Do17
    B26
    Meteor
    Tiger Moth
I'd have paid considerably more.

Could have financed another 3 years of BoB development

Not to mention what we might have paid for a 1C release for the AI made flyable.

Well, If he hasn't already realised it, he won't make the same mistake with the SoW series..

I would pay for a pack like that.

The problem is, this site is the only way we're going to get anything VAGUELY resembling these babies, for a LONG time.

Baring in mind, that the first instalment of the Storm of War series (the much fabled BoB) probably wont be in our hot little hands for near on a year (hopefully much less)... and then its what, probably 2 or three (at most) other instalments before we get the Lancaster...

Admitably the Halifax, Sterling, Whirlwind etc would be available sooner... But Oleg, apon releasing the Sunderland model pics a week or so ago, stated that would only be for AI. SO how many more of these much longed for aircraft will be locked away from us, only to be enjoyed if unlocked 5 years down the road etc....

There should be no such thing as AI aircraft! If he wants to go to all the effort to create a 3d model, and flight/damage/weapon models why not go the little bit extra and give us a pit to go with it? There are plenty of Sunderlands around the world (a very small number still faithfuly serving some lesser known airlines) so its not as though theres a lack of reference material. The same goes for ANY aircraft we currently have in IL2 and will have in SOWBOB. There had better be a bloody flyable Do17....

That Me 264 mock-up looks good - though you might want to add the landing gear of a Liberator and the engines/props of a Ju 88 as well.

Indeed... This would be a nice wee bugger to have. Although I must say, I would be horribly upset if we had this before the lancaster Smile

But, of course, thats purely my opinion, and would love what ever comes next Big Grin
