working on the PBN v1
#1

hiya ive been trying to figure out how to construct the PBN turret positions & ive thought we may be able to use the TB3 front gun position by placing a 360 single gun turret onto the front of the PBN - but what im really keen to work out is the side guns. What could we use for side guns on the PBN ? remember we can use any turret position from any aircraft.

on my B6n2 and B5N2 tail gunner, there is just a crosshair. can this method be done as well if a suitable turrent can't be found?

PS... don't for get the bombsight

PPS ...and the prop feather

PPPS ....and the fire extinguishers

the betty waist guns are the closest we have. If the betty guns were used they would be missing the ability to aim more forward like the real PBN waist postions could do.

BTW i'll also add another "thank you very much for your efforts"

if i knew how to fish, i and others wouldn't be so vocal about asking for fish.

it goes back to the whole "giva a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for the rest of his life"

i like the other variation:
"build a fire for a man and you keep him warm for short time, set a man on fire and you keep him warm for the rest of his life"

I believe that you can adjust how much the gunner can turn and in what direction so I don't think that should be a problem. As with many of the current gunners they do not turn as much as they should not nearly enough lol

~S~Jolly,
I concur that waist gun positions from the Betty would be best choice for PBN (expanded traverse angle would be awesome). I also think the dorsal turret for the Betty would work very well for the nose gun position on the PBN.
