When I decided not to use wrapper mod,
I thought it was logical to remove any trace of it,
so I removed wrapper.dll file and I became fully russian interfaced !
So be sure there is a wrapper.dll file down there at the end
of all your IL2 files. Also this file should already be there to
be modified in the first place, from English Sound Mod.
wrapper mod is a mod for the wrapper.
MAKE COPY OF OLD WRAPPER EVERYONE...

If you didn't understand something right why are you stating that new wrapper is bad? It works good just about for everyone, if not, we are always trying to help.

Dear All,
Just to make it clear......what I did was ran the L2D mod with the wrapper incorperated. That created the MODS folder. I then renamed my files folder 'Basic' and put it in the MODS folder. The L2D folder was already in there. The files folder that I renamed had lots of mods already in there...........Should it be just the 0.93 sound mod alone and am I right in saying that with each mod I just open up the zip file and copy and paste the files folder into the MOD folder, then change the name to whatever the name of the MOD is.....eg the 'AAA mod pack'??
I then deleted all the filelist txt.
Also I ask again......is there any way to turn the text into english or have I got to do a complete reinstall?
Best regards,
Sentinel

ABOVE: I just had to mention that WHEN I did retired from the wrapper,
a mistake got me into Full Russian Mode !!!! ...because I had no wrapper at
all at that point. So russian is just a DEFAULT when something is required
and it's not there; or is not in the proper place to do it's work.

Would suggest to sentinel to reinstate, rename his 'basic' as an outside 'files' again and
try a step by step approach to any transfer rename process; new wrapper reads files.

By the way I replied to that original post because nobody else had...
feels like sentinel will have to post a third time to get help...

On a secondary note:

... just had problems ...
... have since made two copies of IL2 1946 files,
... one with the new wrapper version in it.
... New wrapper works fine...
... Mods Tu2 + Bf109c4 +c4b +L2d working fine.
... PBN's front turret is fabulous...
... My Old mods ( still in files)... working as well.

Dear All,
It's OK again, I reverted back to the filelist version and everything reverted to normal.
I will wait a few weeks before trying it again....when all the 'bugs' are ironed out.
Best regards,
sentinel.

There are no known bugs (currently) in the new wrapper. Surely you made some mistake when installing it. Probably you should not have moved the "files" directory. The new wrapper is backwards-compatible with old mods, so you should not make anything with them. Just leave them where they are and the will still work.

Thanks QTim for your work.

Just keep old 'files' AS IS...
INSTALL new wrapper.
Should work W/O problems...

Dont miss those great new cockpits and more updates!
Do try again ... and keep it simple...

Fully appreciate Qtim and his work. THANK you QTIM!
