Awesome work, Fabian. I'm glad someone was able to use the work that Rone did. Sounds like you've made some great improvements.

I'd like to install this tonight - BUT can anyone tell me how this will run in 4.08?

not sure about 4.08...because I used the new static.ini from 4.09bm with the new objects

if you download a free program called "WinMerge"...it is a text editor and compare

so you can direct it to open two files...(normal Notepad files) side by side and it will note differences in each line.....and you can copy from one side to another

if you open each of the .ini files from my pack and compare with the 4.08 ones...you can swap the changes I've made

..or just try my pack ...and if it don't work....then edit...


I haven't updated my pack with the new dead trees to replace damaged trees yet...

for those of you who want to make the changes themself....to have trees destroyed and replaced by the tree stump.....

go to the static.ini in my destruction mod...open in Notepad......

go about a quarter of the way down to this.....

Thanks Fabian ~S~ Seems to run fine in 4.08, but I'm guessing some objects have changed. I'll check out that WinMerge programs. Sounds quite useful!

i was just flying a pe2 campaign and i saw the moded flak puffs of smoke that stay in the sky for a while... i was flying around the target area and the entire sky was fooool of flak explosions, i didnt know that was moded , it looked just like pictures of ww2 ive seen.

and i got no fps hit what so ever! man i love what the community is doing with this sim!!!!

that was part of the Effects folder with my destroy mod....but the work for the AAA was by someone else...not me Big Grin

A_trees&things ........ I put the modded trees/barrel blocks (oil drums)/damaged trees/etc. all at the end of the static.ini......... then they don't mess with the order of objects in the 4.09 Object list pdf file at the same site

damaged palms / replaced the barrage balloon with the observation balloon / two new net shelters of 4m. height for small a/c to taxi under...and 6m./ for bombers


and a new traintest.mission to try them out

unzip A_trees&things folder in to the mods directory?


what about that static.ini replace with the one in the destroy folder? im confused

nothing happens to the palm trees when i bomb them

Gents, on the Destroy mod do I just put the Com and Effects folders into my Mods folder?

the destroy mod...make a new folder in your MODS folder...call it destroy if you want...put the com and effects folders in there

with the A_trees&things....yes the new static.ini replaces the old one from the destroy...but no need to replace...if you use the folder name A_trees&things...it comes alphabetically before the destroy folder....so it will read the new static.ini there....which will have preference over the old one
