Hi all. Had an irritating experience when I tried to join my squad on HL tonight. I have 2 seperate installs, one for online (unsullied version, lol) and my offline mod version which is a seperate install. HL decided to run some kind of cheat detector check and I had to point it at my game's exe. The problem was that I couldn't point it at my vanilla install and it would only see the modded version.

Well I raved a bit at the computer screen and tried a few things which ended up with me having 2 porked installs of FB on my hard drive, neither working. I'll have to start from scratch next week when I get my copy of the cd back from a friend.

Anyone else been similarly bothered by retarded, paranoid, fascist healthchecks?

I should add that the modded version was 4.09 while the online version was still 4.08 same as my friends.

It's okay, I think I've figured it out and so far I've at least got my 4.09modded version working. Now to apply version switcher. Big Grin

For those that don't use a version switcher: If you tell HL to disconnect... then, while holding ctrl and shift down together, click on connect, it gives you the opportunity to select the il2fb.exe you want.
