Is there a way to add gunsmoke when the guns are fired?
I recall a mod for CFS2 that did this. When the guns were fired there would be a trail of faint smoke left behind the aircraft.
It looks very cool and would add to the immersion.
Just a thought.
Hi Bo, I was thinking about this the other day when I was in the P-47.
Watching som colour footage from "Thunderbolt", the smoke behind the wing is very obvious. This I too feel would be a worthy mod.
Cheers, SM
YES! would be a wonderful addition. check this out... get a me190k4 and fire the 30mm cannon below 320kph and you will see the smoke coming out but notice there is not smoka trail behind the plane. would be possible to make such a mod?
weapon mod, forbidden, sorry.
If a plane were really flying though would the smoke be in front of the guns like that? I don't think so... that looks very nice except for the puffs out in front of the guns....
Yes... would only need the smoke behind the aircraft... infront, just makes no sense :?
I remember on a video, there were a Hurricane MkIIc firing, and there was smoke in front of guns (a little less than the P47 on the screen).
But I dont know if there can be a real difference with the speed (Hurricane is slow, compare to a Fw190 or a P47).
Smoke in front of guns is a reality. At least in IL-2. Have you guys ever looked at some German cannons? For example when standing still the smoke is very big and just goes in front of the guns.
But the faster you fly, the more it is blown back. Same effect should apply to the .50's IMO.
So the smoketrails behind and smoke infront of the guns are realistic.
Would be a nice addition.
