20 MM ME-110 CANNON SOUND
#1

I saw an excellent rare video of a 110 firing it's cannon with the actual sound track included! Confusedhock:

The sound the 20 mm cannons made was exactly this which I have never heard duplicated in a sim game.

I believe all german aircraft with 20 mm cannon should have this sound modeled.

Depends if the gun was a MGFF, MGFF/M or MG151/20.

Bf-110 had MGFF/M in latest versions and MGFF in earlier. I don't know why the game give us a Bf-110 C-4 with MG-151 (data from Hardball Aircraft viewer), because it's a 1942 (or maybe 1941 )gun, and C-4 is a 1939 fighter....

Much better then! I suppose it's a "C-4 Late" then, because I think earlier C-4s had MGFF

Have you even devoted a single thought to the possibility that the C-4 in game has MG FF/M's because this sim originally started out as an eastern front sim? Which means 1941 onward. Which means that those Me 110 C-4's were meant to be representing a version of this older model which was used in the eastern campaign. So that maybe they were upgreaded ones from the original standard. I don't think (meaning that i don't know but very much think so) that normal MG FF's were used at all after early 1941. There was something like standardization, even in the German army.
Of course, when used in an earlier campaign they sould have the appropriate weapons, but as of right now, the 110 C-4's should be correct for the eastern front.
And I don't think that Oleg srewed this one up, he did so on a lot of the rest of the sim, but a lot of things are right too.
If you can prove that the C-4's never had MG FF/M's fine, so be it. Maybe you can find somebody who will downgrade them, but i doubt that.

I think you didn't understand me, mate (maybe my poor English). The fact that C-4 in game has the MGFF/M it's not a criticism. I like that. It's a East front plane, not a Battle of Britain plane.
That was my other post that has the criticism. I thought, reading Hardball Aircraft Viewer, that C-4 in game have MG 151. Wasy has explained it have MGFF/M (error in Hardball Aircraft Viewer). That's all.
I don't think neccessary to downgrade the guns. I'm not so snob about hiper realism. Like it or not, it's a game.
And about German standarization in Barbarossa.....They were using weapons, vehicles, even uniforms from all their conquest. German industry were having the same production rate that in peace time.
