I saw an excellent rare video of a 110 firing it's cannon with the actual sound track included!
hock:
The sound the 20 mm cannons made was exactly this which I have never heard duplicated in a sim game.
> dumpdumpdumpdumpdumpdumpdump < Exactly this! 8)
I believe all german aircraft with 20 mm cannon should have this sound modeled.
Depends if the gun was a MGFF, MGFF/M or MG151/20.

well what is the original nose cannon in the 110?
it is the mg151/20. i heard it fire in real life, exactly as high plains drifter said
Bf-110 had MGFF/M in latest versions and MGFF in earlier. I don't know why the game give us a Bf-110 C-4 with MG-151 (data from Hardball Aircraft viewer), because it's a 1942 (or maybe 1941 )gun, and C-4 is a 1939 fighter....
Much better then! I suppose it's a "C-4 Late" then, because I think earlier C-4s had MGFF
I think you didn't understand me, mate (maybe my poor English). The fact that C-4 in game has the MGFF/M it's not a criticism. I like that. It's a East front plane, not a Battle of Britain plane.
That was my other post that has the criticism. I thought, reading Hardball Aircraft Viewer, that C-4 in game have MG 151. Wasy has explained it have MGFF/M (error in Hardball Aircraft Viewer). That's all.
I don't think neccessary to downgrade the guns. I'm not so snob about hiper realism. Like it or not, it's a game.
And about German standarization in Barbarossa.....They were using weapons, vehicles, even uniforms from all their conquest. German industry were having the same production rate that in peace time.
