Since I started making campaings for my own joy, I allways wanted to have the possibility to be able to change the livery (skin) of a stationary airplane and use any.

It is possible to do this?, perhaps you can add some more programming lines, the same used in AI or normal aircrafts.

An excellent idea, even though Oleg said it could not be done. However we have seen a number of people here acheive the "impossible" many times lately.

I'm waiting for this feature since the first time I played this game....
I use to 'hack' aircrafts to obtain Italian ones not in game, but as stationary they mantain their default skin... At least, the same custom skin should be applied to all stationary planes in a map. 8)

You CAN change the default skins of stationary aircraft yourself, to suit Summer, Winter and Desert maps. Look in the General Discussion and Downloads section for instructions on how to do it. You could set the Russian bombers (for example) to show Italian skins on all Desert maps. Having selectable skins in FMB is a job for a resident genius like FC though.

Yes, you're right, and I've already changed all default skins for Italian fighters... But on my computer only.
Made them by FMB is just another thing... I'm thinking about next campaigns on new Med/desert maps.

For campaigns, a thought is to publish them as a mod.

The mod would include the missions and total campaign structure, AND it could include changes to default markings, etc.

Install mod, play campaign, finish campaign, uninstall mod.
