new tire screech V3 ----final---
#1

I wanted to make a realistic sound of a ww2 warbird as it touches down on landing and i think i got it now. this is version3 and the last one.

it really makes you wana get back to base alive just so you can hear the cool undercarriage effect
as always adjust the volume to your liking

Thanks for that-I love the mod!

A question-I dont seem to have the Sound Accessory program in my list when searching through 'Open With' options.

I do have the Creative Wave Studio but when I try to adjust the volume it always makes it really quiet. I tried to Normalise the sound but it seems to compress it too much. Any help on adjusting sounds using the program I have? If not, where can I download the sound accessory from?

Cheers Smile

Hello pilots,

I use this sound and I can hear it (great !!! - thank you !!) ) when landing US-planes -- but I hear nothing by touchdown with the German planes series FW190

-- what did I wrong ??

I make a folder at the MOD-Folder and in this a folder SAMPLES and copy the sound to this.
I use the newest Wrapper.dll and SoundMod V092.

Whats wrong ??

Thank you for some hints.

Cheers,

Try placing them in the Files/Samples folder, I think you'll then hear them just fine.

Erwinedi , i had the old style modification(with the file list) before the new wraper came out so i had this mode installed the old way. i installed the tire screech mod by slipry

viewtopic.php?t=2125

-before i had the new wraper installed.

so like No105_Ogdens says, i have those files in the files/samples.

charlie19 you should be able to hear the sound just fine just the way it is.
did you install the tire screech MOD by Mr. Slipry? i know there are some volume parameters he had set and they work just fine for most, I just modified the sound sample

anyways i posted the sound accessory (sndrec32.exe) in my downloads page, it works right up.

Darn!
Somewhere along the line, I seem to have lost those nice dive 'stress' sounds....
Now to try and see which of the other 50 mods I've installed since is causing this....

yeah mate, i'll go one better there - in fact, two.....
thats right, I currently have 4 different installs of '46 - standard 4.08, standard 4.09b1m, modded 408, and modded 409b1m. The modded 408 version still has the right sounds, while the 409b1m verson has lost them.... guess I'll scratch around looking for whats changed between them...
