How do I delete the Avenger from my Bomber/AAA Mod Pack?
#1

While flying online with my teammates, we were supposed to be flying Corsairs. I was only able to selct an Avenger in the list of aircraft-but everyone else saw me as selected Corsair (I hope this makes sense?).

So what I need to do is delete the Avenger from my installation or delete the whole Bomber/AAA mod pack.

Could someone tell me how to do this as I cannot find the files for the Avenger. Thankyou Smile

Extract all the Avenger files into a temp folder.. It's then a matter of noting which files you have and then deleting the relevent files from your MODS or files folder, depending on where you installed them to originaly.. It requires a little detective work, but it has worked for me in the past.

Charlie, do your team mates have the modded version, or are they flying a "straight" version? In other words, could they see the TBF slots as well as the Corsair slots? Could you not see the Corsair slots? How about the host? Was it a Moded game? I guess it must have been if you were able to select a TBF slot.

My squad has had many similar issues with this very same thing, and it always boils down to one of two things. Either the host has the wrong version of the game, or the people trying to join have the wrong version. By 'wrong version' I mean that they do not have the correct MODs installed for the aircraft they intend to fly. The host may well have the 'wrong' version due to not having the necessary MODs installed.

I hate to see you take the Turkey off of your game just because this happened. No doubt, you'll find yourself in a similar situation again, and it will cause problems....again. All I'm saying is, find out why you had the connecting problem and fix that instead of eliminating a great plane from your flyable list.

Razor, you hit the nailon the head-some of the team do not have the mods installed so can cause problems on official Ops night. And yes its a case of me not being able to see the slots others see as they don t have the Mods.

I just need to know where I can find the files to temprarily delete them for Ops and then replace when I need them. Trooper said extract them to a temp folder but I cant find them to extract! :?

This is where I am looking: D:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\3DO\plane (and 'Cockpit'). Is the Avanger listed under another name?
