4 aircraft for one unit is realistic. Real WWII squadron flew in groups of three or two + two (Germany). To create bigger formation simply add more flights.

I think he means in QMB, so that rather than just 4x4=16 maybe 4x10 flights giving you 40 in the air for each side.

Only found Uberdemon Software ale to do this 'quickly' but does take a good read to get the most from it.
