I have installed eng sound mod & AAA mod today. it's very nice, i prefer 9.0 sounds but it's not my problem.

I'm french, and after installed your mod, my game is in english.
My question is, is it possible to put my game in his original language: in french ?????

I have search in this forum, in 2 different french forums but i haven't find answer.
Modify a line in conf.ini ?? download a file ?

Well thats a first, most people complain about it being in Russian (before the fix)

Look in "#:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\i18n"

netmessages_fr.properties

hud_msg_fr.properties

backup your netmessages.properties

and hud_msg.properties

and rename the _fr.properties files

Other "_ru" files in "#:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\files\i18n"
Probably have to edit these in Notepad unless anyone knows where the _fr files are.

AFAIK the sound mod uses the Russian .exe

If you'd changed your "weapons_fr.properties" file name to "weapons_ru.properties" (are the _ru files actually in english? - open the files in notepad to check the language)

I think what you see now is the default file as called by the russian il2.exe.

So - whatever language "properties" files you use in the "Files" or "MODS" folders; you have to name them with the "_ru" appended .

You could edit these files using Notepads "Find Replace" function (Case sensitive on).

Only translate the text on the Right-hand side - left hand column is used by game!

Maybe they can be extracted with QTims SFS extractor - probably from Files.SFS - anyone able to confirm that?

I'v just download an SFS extractor, extract Files.sfs but have found only .properties and _ru.properties files, not _fr.properties
