Stu,
How does this work, exactly? Does it replace the markings on static aircraft with other ones, or does it alllow you put your own default markings on static a/c? Thx.
Hi,
I have replaced the files for the numbers and national markings with a blank, so if you wanted to you could replace the blank tga with anything you wanted. If you want the old ones back just remove them from the mods file. I just got fed up with big garish numbers and markings and now we can custom the generic skins it seemed like it was time for them to go. Thanks to Willy for starting me off.
yours stu
The giant numbers on static aircraft were certainly distracting. Good mod!
Thanks stu. Yup, good mod!
This only work for static or for normal planes too?
I SAY AGAIN !! I cant get filefront !!!!!
Another link please ??
Stu From what I see we can replace teh roundels, but I cant figure out teh numbering sistem.
Not the special ones like RAF and US, witch have its own numbers in its folder, but the regular ones.. do you know how it works?
By "system" do you mean how the numbers get assigned to each plane? If so, it's pretty simple;
When you choose a plane to be put into a mission (this is for a coop), there is a flight/element assignment that goes with it. Each element consists of four aircraft. Flight 1 element 1 would be numbered 1 through 4 and element 2 would be 5 through 8 and so on. There are only 4 elements per flight, so flight 2, element 1 would start over at 1 through 4.
Is this what you were asking about?
No Razor, I am asking how does the engine asign a number to static planes. When you put static panes in a mission they get a random number. That is the number I would like to be able to maniulate, not so much it
This is a great mod, and has allowed me to get rid of the ridiculous stock markings on some static aircraft, even though I'm using mat manager. Nothing else seemed to work. Thanks!
