my loading screen is in russian and I only get maybe 5 secs of loading then Game crashes and I have the Digital Download bought version of il2 1946 can anyone help? and this is after I added this MOD :!:

make sure your in game audio is set to 44.1k.

it is I guess from what I read this mod isnt compatible with the ubisoft download version can anyone confirm this? I refuse to buy another copy

Get a DVD image off bittorrent, it works great with mods.
That wouldn't be illegal either: you have paid for your copy, you're a legit user (well, it shouldn't be illegal IMO but you better check your local law)

That's why I'm saying get the DVD iso image off the internet. That's not the downloaded version, it's the DVD version.
That's what I have, and my mods do work.

I don't condone piracy either, but I bought the game as well, the legit DVD new in box and it cost a decent amount as this was when 1946 came out, but the copy protection doesn't work with my DVDRW drive so I had to get the ISO as well. The actual DVD has never worked once...
