I'm not particularly interested in this myself as it doesn't add very much, IMO.

Hmm,
The only thing I want from the AAA is battery fire for heavy guns of 7,5 cm and up. No more separate AI routines for each gun. Less AI cycles maybe. Currently, in the game guns point separately at different planes.
Same goes for field artillery; only direct fire of individual guns. But adding a field observer logic is asking more AI.
Certainly not for me. If i wanted that kind of stuff I'd buy an Xbox.
Besides, I'm sure vulchers would appreciate wildly innacurate ground fire from human players, over the sniper AI gunners we have now
So if we want some realism in AA gun fire, we are vulchers now? :?:
In real life, what we try to simulate in the game, AA guns don't hit you most of the time, unless you are a great shot, or have computing gunsights, and even THEN you miss most of the time!
Example: the battleship Prince of Wales, was sank in real life because of faulty AA gun batteries (and seriously, those octopule flak guns had as bad a range as the MK 108), and here in IL2, most of the attacking torpedo bombers get shot down. :?
Normally, those fleets relied on their ability to concentrate ALL of their AA fire on the attacking bombers and now, only one ship can protect the whole fleet!
If anybody is to be called a vulcher, it's the guys who defend their base or ship, because they got easy pickings with their sniper AI flak!
