I have a question. As I'm remember Spit Mk I doesn't have anti gravity carburetor ( correct me if I'm wrong ). If it will be simulated like in Polikarpow I-16, I mean choking engine when plane is diving with high -G force.

IMHO, No important to know what is more or not efficient in the game against this or this plane...., but only what was the real thing, no more.....

If the real thing is different of what we have in the game, so correct it, and if it is more eficient against one defined plane.... that's ok and cool. but don't try to put absolutly what is more effective in game, despite unrealistic in real thing....

This would be beginning of the end, o r at least, counter productive.

Don't confuse make the game more realistic and make it more usefull for your own plane against one particular plane.....

That's what i made in my own weapon mod, and i think it is that it will happen in AAA weapon tweaking. too..... Wink

Yes i wonna know it too.Is the engine going to choke,when diving with negative G's,and the fuel line will be cuted off and will not be able to reach the engine?
I hope you'll simulate this a well.Not only the better FM you'll give it,compared to the existing Vb one. :roll:

Correct me if i'm wrong,but isn't the Spitfire Ia using the early Rolls Royce Merlin,which is used by the Hurricane Mk.Ia?
If you give it to the Spit,it will be correct i think.Guess what performance the Spit will have :twisted: .
This is the only brit engine we have in-game,that have the problems with choking when in negative G.

Hurry up and finish it, and then give another Slot for the Tiger Moth!
Oh, and one Qustion: will all the Mks be in numeric numbers if it's alphabetically sorted, or will it go like "I, IX, V, VIII"?

@Gringo: the Gladiator/J8A has a brit Engine in as well, and it has those problems...dunno which engine it has, though.. :roll:

I'm sure that whey they say that will have a Spitfire MK1 FM, the engine cut out will be modelled. Don0t forget that the Hurri MK1 also have the same engine and his engine cut's out.

Yes the ngine will choke and cut out if its inverted for too long. Its just a matter of chaging a few numbers

The Spitfire MK I had manual landing Gear which had to be pumped via a lever in the lower right of the cockpit. I dont think this has been done. other than that, when i sat in a Mk I and MK V cockpit i noticed hardly any other differences

I am with Josse here... please keep it historical...
Also incorporating a full "weapon mod" that makes historical weapons for all aircraft would not be that bad .... :wink:

A while back I read somewhere that in the beginning only the IL-2 would be flyable and that any other plane had its FM obtained from tweakin' Sturmovik's FM... so i can imagine why it's so hard to obtain new FM's.

Definitely - and for two reasons. Firstly, this game has cried out for a Spitfire MkI since the beginning of time. And secondly, being able to add new aircraft slots opens up the game to so much expansion.
