'Omega Squadron'
#1

I just rembered that back in 2003 I was briefly involved in 'Omega Squadron' that was supposed to finish some models for the game.

The SimHQ post is here: http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.p ... 48&fpart=1

And the site showing the models is here: http://777avg.com/omegasquad/

Nothing really came of it, but I thought I'd contact some people and see if they happen to have the models lying around anywhere. It would all be useful Smile Especially since there's a Lancaster and Dornier Smile I'll let you know if I hear anything.

With the exception of the Beuafighters, all these models still need a great deal of attention to make them decent, IMO. Some parts a in desperate need of some extra polys.

Well yes..We can all see that they are nowhere near completion, but they could be a possible start to getting them eventualy introduced into the game..

well since they know how to do most of it and we can add new planes would they be able to add theses planes in the very very near future?

If you read the first post, he is yet to contact the others to see if they have retained anything from the old site.. And if you look at the models, they need alot of work if they are seen 'as is'..
I'd say even if they find a way to even introduce them to the game, it's going to be a long wait..

While modding the in-game Beaufighter into a Mk.II is feasible, it isn't just a matter of "slipping on Merlins". The early marks of Beaufighter had a zero dihedral on the horizontal tail surfaces- only later was this changed to improve flight behaviour.
