If y'all will give me a plane list with correct file names that work I'll package them together and list it as a reticle_RU mod. I need to look at the Yak series to see if they use the other technique of drawing reticles. If so then I'll need to redo the tga files for them.

And what about the P-39s. I've done a "ring and dot" style reticle for them but I don't know which style reticle appeared in the US and Russian versions.

The resourcer dumper util by Qtim.

You're probably aware of this, but its the same cockpit on the 3P and 3, so thats the directory for both.

Now if only I can figure out what controls the tint of the reticule glass . I'd love to fix the tint on the Yak-9!

Also, Does anyone know what the actual Yak reticule sights looked like?

Yes, it's really Yak-3und9. I have tested it and it works for Yak-3 and 3P.
