E-3 had different canopy. Now is impossible to do this due 3D convertor is unavailable.

while you doing this would u like to start the same time with E1 there only differnt where Mg FF changed to Mg17 like over the engine!

The E1 and E3 and E4 where the most used once in 1940 the E3 and E1 are in Polen the best 109!

Hm, this E3 Cockpit Frame reminds me a little bit on Bf 110 Cockpit Frame.

Could it be possible, to "capture" the whole thing as Clone,
and to rebuild it some way?

Or the Canopy from a Yak may fit...

The Control stick of the E3 is simular with an Ingame one...can't remember which A/C use it.
I'll let you know, if I found it.

Just a thought, donno it is possible...but I think it will be a hard work.

That control stick was only fitted to export 109E-3's, IE the ones that were delivered to Switzerland.

How many other aircraft in the game have been modelled using parts of other aircraft just to fit the rough appearance?

Fucida, we make do with what we can. Personally I think theres minimal difference between the two and the differences are so minor that they would not affect the way fly the thing anyway.

You wouldn't go through all the mods and say we shouldn't have them because it uses the cockpit of another aircraft? :wink:

Different canopy isn't just MAIN, but the ONLY visible difference between E-3 and E-4. Plus earlier version of MG/FF cannons. You can just rename Bf 109 E-4 to E-3 in your game and result will be the same => E-4 with name of E-3

Not true, the engine also had a different compression ratio and took different fuel. Therefore, different flight model.
