Regular IL2 missions vs. Mod missions
#1

First of all, I'M HAPPY! I love flying the HAWK so I want to thank all of you who made that dream a reality.

Secondly, I still want to continue building and uploading missions using the "old" IL2 1946.
I have a backup IL2 folder without Mods but do I have to only use this folder to make missions the "old"way?
OR, is it possible to switch from Mods to Old within the same folder?

This new way of using Mods for mission building is AWESOME. It takes things to the next level. But I still don't want to neglect the IL2 community not using mods.
Basically, I'm just looking for an easy way to switch from Mods to Old IL2. Is that possible?

Hi CzechTexan,
nice to see you around...
I believe that swapping between il2fb.exe and files.sfs of standard il2 and il2fb.exe and files.sfs of the modded il2 will do the switch between standard and modded il2. But I'm not sure. In case you try it and it doesn't work maybe better to place the question on the general mods discusion forum.

Thanks Lowfighter. Good to see you too. It was just a curious thought after I downloaded the mods. I can always test it later or have someone else test.

If you stick to using regular objects in the FMB it shouldn't be a problem.....keep to regular maps and planes....i don't think that using the FMB+ will affect anything

the easy way to test is ....use the switcher from 4.08/4.08mods/4.09/4.09mods...go back to the unmodded game and you should be able to see if it is OK
