Hi all!


I havent found any topics (Using search function.) Specifically saying that 4.08M mods (utterly specifically; TrackIR 6DOF, All aircraft, engsound mod.) are declared compatible for 4.09b.

My sincerest apoligies if this has already been posted, in which case I did not find the topic.

Reason I was asking was because I have a buddy that`s eager to use theese mods, but is himself using the 4.09 version

It didnt work! The game is in russian, even though I put in the language fix, AND on top of that, the game exits after 10 seconds!

How did u get it working? I did everything by the book here, first new install, then 4.08m, then 4.09mb, then eng sound mod, then aaa mod, then track ir mod, then wrapper, then campaign language fix. and the 2 last mentioned doesnt even work! :?:


I need help asap as I have a game going on in 2 hours.

I don't know - i just installed it and it works. I didn't even bother with doing a reinstall, i used my regular installation - i made a backup copy just in case something goes kaputt but no problems at all. I had some freezeup problems with 409 even before the mods but now that too seems to have gone away, i had no problems whatsoever with this...

Thats weird.. yeah I did a safe copy of my 4.08 install as well, and just put in 4.09 over that, and tried to launch, it stayed open for 4 seconds before CTD... I then put in all the mods again, just to make sure 4.09 didnt overwrite something essential, CTD again..

This just gets me.. I have no idea

wait a minute: you did 408, then mods, then 409?

i did the reverse: 408, 409 and the mods last.

maybe that'll do it?

don't give up, because 409 increased view distance is really spectacular, it's well worth the effort to get it working.

yeah I meant 4.08, 4.09, mods, on a clean install.
That didnt work.


At the second try, I Changed the name of my il2 folder, and copied my original one, with 4.08 and all the mods, into the Ubisoft folder in Program Files. Then I put in 4.09 patch over 4.08 with mods, and then reput all mods in. That didnt work.

I hope that cleared some things up

Sorry i can't give you any real help - it just works for me, i didn't do anything special. The only thing that changed since i installed the mods is that my startscreen (the one during initial load) is now in Russian. Otherwise the game works without a problem.
