Was this project abandoned?
If you don't mind the quality of the existing Okinawa and Kyushu maps then the new Actors CutnShift Tool can be used to relocate all the actors.static objects onto a bigger map. Then all you have to do is pop in the terrain for the missing islands and maybe replace map_h for the whole lot.
Taken step by step you could quite quickly produce a draft version which only omits the objects from the new islands.
I would do it if I had the time but other projects are taking all my spare time.
My guess is that the Pacific Team are following a historical chronology so it may be some time before they get to Okinawa, but I might be wrong.
I'd love to see the Pacific Team get stuck into the Phillipines.
If somebody else who can use the map tools FMB would like...I could quite quickly produce a basic map_C/T/F/H for them to work with.....
The only problem is my map_T for thailand seems to have different colours to the default ones....so until i can correct that problem, and allow ships to move upon my map, I'm afraid I would make the same mistakes with this one??
The WIP Italy/Greece/North Africa map is 1200 X 1200 kms approximately, but I don't know if it is 1:1 or reduced scale. If it's 1:1, part of Honshu could be added.
the 3:4 format of thailand works well....maybe good for this one too..?
The size doesn't matter.
You don't have to copy an existing map size.
Start with MWmap_c which is 50m per pixel.
The size can be any multiple of 32 pixels in each direction.
All the others scale from that.
If you like use the Okinawa map for the master files.
Expand all the *.tga files north and east to pick up Kyushu.
The coordinates for the objects (except bridges) will remain the same.
I think the y axis is reversed for bridges (not sure).
Paste in Kyushu *.tga images and your half way there.
Will love to escort B29 over Japan with my Mustang!! Hope you guys can create this map
You may already be able to do it: try a USAAF DGen campaign over Kyushu, or a DCG one (air starts).
Mount Fuji?

I'm still working on my Thailand map....and intend to start on the Himalayas after that....does anyone want to continue this....now I've got it into the FMB...?
Very nice start Fred, extremely seismic looking terrain
