Thats amazing. If this can be implemented independently of the sound mod, everyone could use it too Big Grin

Avala... How and where did you install this in IL2? Did you put the file into the main IL2 directory, or the MODS folder??
Thanks for any help..

Just drop it in the main directory and select DirectX in setup. It doesn't use the mods folder at all.

First, here is reply from Boris Vorontsov, developer of this plug in.

Quote:Hi!
It is possible to make opengl version in theory, it will work as
convertor (like current directx8 to directx9), but i haven't worked with
opengl api about 8 years, guess there a lot of changes. Another reason, i
can not continue development of the ENBSeries any more, it was bad idea
that takes too much time, new versions will be published from time to
time, but not such frequent as before.
Good luck!

It is simple as bee said; this even can be used in unmoded version. I was messing a little with the settings, if anyone want to try here it is, just put it in game's folder:

Pity that we can't have it for OpenGL. Here are some screens with my settings. Photobucket shrinked them, it looks little bit better in original size.

Anyone to try to make it for OpenGL? It doesn’t look so hard.

It looks really simple indeed Big Grin.

Maybe is not that complicated for a professional after all.

You know what... Oleg Loves OpenGL (heck, I do too... is free), maybe someone with "relations" could point this thing to one of his programmers (of course I'm hoping one is reading these forums Tongue ) and maybe we could get this very nice in a core *.dll files pack... few weeks of community testing and... voila!

Mmm.. If only it was as simple as that eh.. The effect is great I have to say, but it still lacks the detail of opengl.. I've gone back to my original settings.

Wow that looks brilliant...

I don't use perfect, do you think I could use this mod with no problems?

I think that you can use it without any problem, Just enable DirectX mode. I will go back to OpenGL, level of quality can't be matched. Without nice HDR and bloom unfortunately Cry

(Except if someone read Zaelu's post Tongue  )

Well for sure the 4.09 dlls are still at the beta stage, and there seems to be a lot of variation between different releases... as if each version is a complete re-write of the previous version. Perhaps they could even at this late stage consider this fantastic effect.

If one of those programmers is reading... can I offer some advice for the next release? How about separate dlls for ATI and Nvidia.

The good thing about this is it is not based on any hack of the Il-2 program. A good strategy would be to post this on all Il-2 forums. Even those which are not mod friendly. That way it will be seen by the widest possible number of people. Heck, even post it at the 1c forums. You never know.....

And btw, has anyone tried this with FSX?
