Is it possible to replace the B-239 Cockpit with the Buffalo Mk1 or F2A-2 cockpit for the TBF-1C & TBM-3 so the gages and warning placards on the dash can be read in English?

The only requests I saw were from Nov 2007 and they had brought up using F4F, F6F cockpits (which I think look closer to the prototype from the exterior by the way) but saw nothing regarding the Buffalo Mk1 or F2A-2 which I would think would be an easier switch since the B-239 is already in place.

No, Gentlekiller is absolutely correct. I was the one who posted the request. I wanted the F2A-2 cockpit because the canopy opened, and because the gages were all in English. MrJolly indicated that he would get to it when he could. The change though, will mean giving up the reflector gunsight for the telescope. I figure that, as a torpedo bomber, that would be a small concession.

Not necessarily, gun sights can and have be removed replaced and what have you already

That would be the best of all Willy!! Some day, when Mr.Jolly gets some time, hopefully he will be able to accomplish this for us. It would be nice to be able to open the canopy on the Turkey again.
