Not bad... Not quite right either though. I heard the P-40 at wanaka let loose with her 6 .50's, and it sounded much more impressive than that. Mind you, that was from a flyby...

Blanks do sound different then the real thing mind you. As you mentioned it was a flyby which will have a totally different sound then sitting in the cockpit.

Sorry to burst your bouble but the sounds like in all ww2 movies(docs)were added later.Thats not original sound

P.S:Well,maybe,if they actualy put the sound of 50 call.I think Trooper wuld know

Great video, but as Salac has pointed out, these sounds are addons, if you listen you will hear more than one variation on the sound of the 50 cal's.

If only the guys then knew that in 60 years time that people would be trying to replicate the noises made by engines and armament for a computer simulation i'm sure they would have had the courtesy to put microphones as well as cameras on their planes.

Its the correct sound...original or not. I have fired the Browning M2, granted not 8 of them at one time though. :wink:

This will sound crazy but my hit% with .50cals has going up since I have been using these new sounds. Its actually hard for me to explain...its amazing what sound can bring to the experience. I cant wait for the .303!!

I totaly understand what you mean! my Hit% went up also. I started getting more kills. how I explain this is... you get to hear all the bullets that you shoot, even the ones between the tracers. where as before it would sound like only the tracers were really making the noise, and seemes like less bullets are flying out, and so you dont keep firing unless you can see and hear the tracers hitting home.... but since now you hear all the shells between the tracers, you let it rip, and see that beautiful black smoke start trailing...if this makes any sense?

It sure does.I dont know abt hit %,but even if i hit the plane fataly,i will give it an extra 2-3 sec burst,coz i like the sound of my guns :oops:

Seems like MR.FOX compressed the files with WinZip v10.0 or 11.0 as I unzipped them no problem with this new version of winzip, but couldn't with IZArc...

So I took the liberty of re-packing them and putting them up here so that all can enjoy this mod.
