Chimneys -

Getting 3 versions up - Red Brick, Yellow brick and concrete.

Will also fix the height in static.ini (Lol just noticed they float, guess I've not looked that closely at them before)

I suppose chimneys would always come out of a building, and not be stood on the ground.

I'm at work now and can't check ingame, but the glass in your Factory building looks clearer, nice 8)

I was wondering, could the decoy planes be altered to look like aircraft partially assembled? Would look great in a factory enviroment

The large hangars could have an openings on both sides so they could be put together like an assembly line building.

Just curious, have you tried making the windows transparent? I know it can be done via the alpha channel, but dont know how it would look? Or would it be possible to make them semi-transparent by making the color in the alpha channel to a greyish? Then, all we need is some machinery objects to put inside it and voil

Already tried that with windows and alpha , so did Cannon. Problem is the far wall is not visible from inside, There is also masking effect on vehicles and AC in background , so if you "alpha vanish" something the objects behind are see through too.

Funny thing about those factory windows is they're the only part of the skin I didn't change, apart from changing the layer to "luminosity" and overlay a frame and sills.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clearing that one. 8)

After A hard day at the war, I always like to amble past my local factory at 300mph in my Spit, and gaze lovingly at the machinery inside... I often see the workers toiling away at their lathes and give them a wave.. Confusedhock:

Well at least you'll be at the pub before they are, as long as you don't crash into a chimney

Nice work! As a spoiled kid I'd like to have a couple of them with more generic appearance. Also: posible to remove altogether the chimneys (they can be placed by the builder so finally the building can have 1,2,3,... chimneys),it's bothering a bit to see a lot of them in the same spot, all of them with the "magic three chimneys" lol

Still getting unsatisfactory results with Alpha removal "Cloaking" other objects. Ideally if someone with a knowledge of meshes could separate the chimneys, we'd have a perfect solution.

Didn't encounter this on the warehouse mods, so may find some more clues there; though it may be to do with the model and msh too .

For now I'd prefer 3 chimneys to things disappearing in the background. (see "Ideas thread for examples)

Well tried the alpha on the factory chimneys, and not the problem I was expecting. No "Cloaking" but there are 3 pixels shared by chimney and roof ridge.

Radio masts OK?
