Hi

Here's the thing:

After making a fresh install of IL2-Sturmovik 1946 and then run the game on the splash screen I can see that i'm running v4.07m

I know that I need to upgrade to v4.08m to be able to install mods but the thing is: after I patch to 4.08m and then run the game the splash screen still tells me i'm running v4.07m???

So i've tried all the possibilities:

1-MOD INSTALL PROCESS FOR BEGINNERS

Not working for me:

Keep getting v4.07m after upgrading to v4.08m

After running mods_4_409b1m.exe or the soundmod I tried to run the game I can see that the running version is 4.08m but it crashes at 5% loading

I saw a fix on this problem, setting the sound sampling rate to 44100 khz should fix it...still not working for me...

Ok, because I have a downloaded version I thought my problem was solved but when I replace the files all that I get a the splash screen with v4.08 and it crashes loading at 5%...

Resuming, I can only play the 4.07m version, no soundmod, no new planes, no 6DOF Tracker, no new maps and no online play...it's still great game but the mods...you understand

Maybe it's a simple solution, can someone can help me?

I'm having the same problem with the game shutting down at 5%. I have just purchased IL2 1946 and it worked ok. I didnt have this problem till I installed the eng. sound mod and sfx ( mod activator), then the AAA aircraft mod pack v2.4. After that the game launches and loads to 5% then shuts down. How did you fix your problem?

Did you purchase the Ubisoft download version? If so, search the mods section for the download version patch.

also, you only have to install either sound mod or SFX :wink:

It was a stupid problem

I was unpacking the 4.08m to other directory located on a different partition of my disc

If you have like c:\programs\... and d:\programs\ pay attention when you unpack mods!

In my case i have the game installed on d:\programs\ubi... and when I tried to install the 4.08m, witch the installation path by default is c:\programs and without realizing that, I installed the mod on the worg path/directory
