Boost on Spitfire producing smoke:
"Tigger' (Morton's Spitfire) with the tit pressed and the dive from 4,000' was doing a steady 320 with a great long trail of smoke. I wonder if the Hun claimed anything."
"We were traveling at full throttle and climbing at nearly three thousand feet a minute in the general direction of the enemy formation, which was just visible high up above and in front of us. I could see Yellow Section in front and above us also, going at full boost. Black streams of petrol vapour were coming away from their engines.
I assume you have authorisation of the autor to do that.....
Just a reminder guys, AAA rules forbids sharing links, or the actual weapons mods via this site. So anyone caught sharing a link for the mod will be banned.
This includes any modifictions to weapon models, even to provide the smoke... If you wish to release this, PM MrJolly.
Roger that Magpie.
No worries
Godverdoom, also going through a job interview. Nothing as exciting as you though... I work in friggin' advertising.
Good luck!

I'd really like to know the details of these boost systems. The water injection systems are pretty straight-forward, but what about the others? Are we talking about additional supercharger boost? If so, additional fuel would likely be used to keep combustion temperatures down in the cylinders, lacking another substance to perform that function, if in fact cylinder temperatures had proven to be an issue on that particular engine under boost. This would likely result in smoke, but also would probably only be usable within a fairly limited operating range (high RPM, high airspeed) and the engine wouldn't stand it for long. Even so, each engine is going to react differently, and each boost system is going to be different in the details. I would think that pretty solid evidence, as some have posted (albeit anecdotal), would be needed before applying boost smoke effects to a given engine or engine family if one wanted to be historically accurate.
Hummm, Godverdoom, to be clear, you don't have any autorization to modiffy my mod and to diffuse him....
Thanks to respect my work....
+100% agreed, fly_zo....
...some people...
Tony, Josse, remember that mods released are released. If someone reverse engineers something, and at least took the time to ask you first, how could you complain? It wont stop them from doing it themselves, but remember guys anything you help with, helps the community. HOWEVER.....
This is enough of the Weapons mod 'authorisation' agument. If you wish to gain authorisation to use it, do it via PM.
