Is it possible to print the briefing map??
#1

hey guys, just thought I'd throw the an idea out there that would be a huge help to full(ish) switch offline campaign ppl.Is it possible set up a button to print out the map that you see in the briefing with flight path and targets?maybe even the briefing it self(not as important though) when in the briefing screen?

I'm got no idea if this would be possible and soz if it's a silly request but it would really help those who like the full real settings when they play offline.

cheers Smile

I remember back in the days of Silent Hunter II I would use a whiteboard marker to write notes all over my monitor Big Grin
Worker rather well, I might add. Can't do it anymore, as I now have a CRT with a squishy screen.

Don't know about printing the breifing though. What you could probably do is highlight all the text, then press SHIFT+C to copy the text, then ALT+TAB to minimise, paste the text into notepad and print that....

Pop over to Mission4Today.com, theres a download you can get of printable maps for all the 'stock' maps (might even include 4.09 too) - but dont expect the new maps from here to be there... When I release my NZ map I will include a printable map with it, dopnt know about the other map authors though...

You might then just need to put them in plastic slips and draw the route & waypoints, targets etc on it - like they did/do in real life, with white board markers etc. Would be a go'er for more immersion Smile

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

wow! thanks fly_zo,that exactly what i had in mind Big Grin really great program and works a treat.
the only minor(and it's very minor)thing is that i cant seem to make it switch to landscape mode,I know it says "Start MissPrint using 'MissPrint /L' to have it print the output in Landscape" but I'm not sure what that means  I'v tried starting while holding /L and pressing that once it has started but no luck, it's not a big prob as it still works very well and im massivly thankful for it,but any suggestions would be appreciated.

once again a thousand thank you's sir Smile ~S~

p.s. Brophmeister and RAF_Magpie you guys should check that program out if ya havn't got it,it a ripper !

Probably you must create a .bat file (e.g. MissPrint.bat) using notepad, and type "Missprint /L" in it (without the " characters), then run this .bat file (instead of the Program executable MissPrint.exe).
