I did that. Coppied and pasted all those files into the DGEN directory as per the instructions , but things are still in russian. Any other advice?

Also, i know it might be a bit of a pain, but you may also like to try version 9.0 - I myself still use it without any trouble - and IMHO the most solid of the lot;

Your 'splash screen' and some other things might still be in russian, but you can fix the splash screen with a custom one from here;

try all that, and you should find that things are more... understandable...

Welcome to IL2. It's a fine time to 'join up', for sure.

The mod install process isn't as clear as it could be. Have you sorted out your trubs yet?

BTW I've got a mate who has just a marginal interest in flight sims, and due to the inadequacies of the standard game, I could never find enough reasons to try to pull him in. Now though? Oh yeah! I think a lot of people will find the work of the modders enough of a reason to give it a shot.
