Map_t RGB values

S! all

just doing some texturing in IL2 and too hard

so ive gone to Photoshop

and was wonder who know where or what the RGB values are??

Well,i made this for my map.And it is working perfectly.The exact RGB values.But i hope it will help to you too. Smile

with the RGB values is it for water

red 41 green 41 and bule 41??

the sea needs to be a value of 28 = 11%RGB (in greyscale) for ships to move on it
and the shore must be 31 for surf or 30 for no surf

It's easier to paint the map while in RGB mod,and after you finnish your work,just convert it back to grey/8.And each time you need to rework something on it,just convert it to RGB color before start working.ANd after you finnish...again the same.
Fabian,i dunno what you mean but....Those RGB values are right out of an experimental map_t.tga that i made.And using them,the ships are moving without problems on the water...

wouldn't it be easier if someone just make swatches (Pshop) for it ?

if someone do that .....i'll upload them ASAP


and we won't have this discussion every once in a while ....

just a thought

BTW, here is water shade picked from one of default maps ( color picker)

and also with The Slot map its water is R=66 G=66 B=66 so i dont no

... its better to use default map as reference than one of Microdem generated map_T.tga's ... trust me it will save you from lot of troubles

Ok guys.
They're ready:

When selecting the color,click right in the middle of the desired color that you want to pick.
Because i'm not sure if photobucket pixelate the photo,and will give wrong values...I saved it at maximum quality,but who knows.

cool .... could you upload actual .aco file if you have been using Photoshop for making this
(C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Color Swatches\)
