The Worst Plane(s) you've flown
#1

i would have to say LAGG-3 RD. though it's very similar looking to the Yak-15, it's a very unpleasant aircraft: it's only 500 HP while Yak15 is 900HP. lower sea level speed, very slow takeoff speed, climb rate twice as slow of that of Yak15 and max dive speed about 200 Kph slower than Yak15

In real life? The Slingsby Firefly, the same airframe as the one the USAF grounded but with less power. A truly awful aeroplane. Nothing worked the way you thought it should, plus it's cold, draughty, and inherently spiteful. You had to be extremely careful how you secured the canopy too, because the one at Thruxton opened in flight once though thankfully only one head injury was sustained and the aircraft made a succesful emergency landing. As for me, it jammed the brakes on when I was manoevering to line up with the runway. I had to ask another plane in the circuit to go around and push the thing off the brake by hand before I could taxi clear. I never booked that aeroplane out again.

I agree with you RadPig94, the Russians did a very bad bad job, when those planes get up to about 550 km/h the performance drops to...0%, they cannot turn, they actually seem to turn worse than a
B-29 lol.

And the Fw-190, Don't yell at me but I cannot fly it, it stall at every turn I make, pulling to hard or too easy. How could they call it the Butcher Bird? I also read that quite a few renowned German Aces would prefer to fly old Messerschmitts over the new 190. Me-109's will do that to ya.

You know what I would say to that...

I just cannot understand how to fly the BI-6. When passing 600Km/h it turns nose down and redouts the pilot. Why is it even in the game?

yeah i've always wondered why BI-1 and BI-6 was in here, if you try to play the game sim style you'll never win even against a I-15/I-153, the ammo is not even 1 sec long, but i do like flying it with unlimited ammo and fuel and go bomber hunting Smile

At some point early along the line the FM of the 1-16 got changed (at least in my game) so that pulling negative G's for more than 2-3 seconds results in a non-recoverable engine stall. I hate the I-16 now.

that's like almost the only flaw with the I-16 and it's a big one, have a habit of rolling and dive, don't nose down
