The announcement of a 2008 Flight Sim Movie competiton was published on all the major Flight Sim Websites and Forums on 20 April 2008. This website was, unfortunately, overlooked. I am now posting the Announcement here, specifically because the Competition Rules require only that the primary 'resource' for entered movies must be the IL2 series game-engine. There are no restrictions on the use of any additional techniques or Special FX or Music/SoundFX tracks, etc. In fact, many of the best Flight Sim movies produced over the past 2 years or so have benefited greatly from such augmentation.
Movie entries from movie-makers, new or experienced, who are active in this AAA community are welcome and encouraged.
