Hi all!

Just joined a couple days ago (saw the "no bar" mod and decided "These are my kinda people!!! ).

I can run in Perfect, and, for the most part, it's pretty smooth for me -- provided I'm just zipping around the sky all by my lonesome. But when the action picks up, it gets a mite clunky. So, I just keep it on Excellent w/Medium Clouds -- I'd rather have frame rate than eye candy.

System specs:

P4 3.2GHz
HSI Radeon X1650 (AGP -- that's part of the bottleneck)
2GB RAM
WinXP


Modest, I know, but haven't had the cash flow to do a Processor/Motherboard/Graphics Card upgrade.

I can't run perfect. Although FPS is good, I get stutters. After reading a thread in Tech Help about perfect mode, I switched to excellent . External views were ok, but in the cockpit it was like performing a 30 point roll! Click-Click-Click.
I may get around to trying different dll. files and mess with Nhancer settings. For now I wish I had time to play with these new mods!

...2nd thought: there is certain advantage... I can't see enemy planes unless against sky or snow background or when tracers appear... thus have to develop 'inner vision' to survive... sometimes it works... 8)

8800 GT 512MB (best freekin $200 I ever spent BTW) Runs in perfet mode. But so did my poor old 7800GT. You have to give and take in this sim, but over all it is very, very generous. You mod guys rock! It's like the wife lost 30lbs and got horney after 20 years. Sorry, but it sums it up well .
