New I-16 versions

My request should be relatively easy to carry out. What I would like to see is a TRUE I-16 Type24 as well as a Type29!

Quote:I-16 Type 24
Four ShKAS, landing flaps replaced drooping ailerons, tailwheel added, second cockpit door added on the starboard side, Shvetsov M-63 engine, 670 kW (900 hp), 934 built.
I-16 Type 28
Type 24 with two ShKAS and two ShVAK.
I-16 Type 29
Two synchronized ShKAS in the nose and a single 12.7 mm (0.50 cal) UBS in the bottom of the fuselage, no wing guns, shorter main landing gear with wider track, M-63 engine, 650 built.

This would require a minimum of work as far as I see it. Simply rename our existing Type24 to Type28, then make a real Type24 based on the existing one but using the armament of the Type18. Then to top it of the Type29 with 2 nose mounted ShKAS and a single UBS in the bottom part of the engine! 8)

as long it is for the new slot, then it is a good idea. it may sound easy to do it, but trust me, look how long it takes to make one plane with weapon changes, ppretty long time

First we will do (already alfa version exists) I-16 type 10 early and I-16 type 10 late, then if everything goes right will do your favorit Big Grin
Every AC will be in its own slot. Need time. Not too much.

I never heard of a alpha I-16 tip 10 modeled before. The tip 18 I understand in the game but the Type 24 we have is not a tip 24 at all it's a tip 27 and not many were made. I would love to see at least 2 more I16 types available. (Being a WW2 game a Type 29 would be first on my list then a type 10) Mangas did a nice I16 type ten skin. He even drew in the extra engine pipes.
