Spitfire IX tail
#1

Most of the photos I look at regarding this aircraft show the Spit IX tail more like the Spit V's
tail....... Has 1946 got the tail right on the Spit IX?
Are we missing something?
Has anyone done a fix if it's wrong or am I looking in the wrong place?
The tail in the game seems more like the Spit VII or Spit VIII.

Thanks to all for looking Big Grin

Depends if it's an earlier Mk IX or later variant .. Smile

I've had this mod installed for a little while and I can't seem to get it working at all, regardless of what nationality I pick.
I've followed the install instructions, the MODS folder copied into game directory and the files.txt I've copy/pasted onto the filelist.txt as well as put into the game directory as is for good measure. No dice.

Can't figure it out. No crash or anything, the mod just doesn't show up. Kind of annoying because it just looks like a Mark VIII with the tail wheel down, rather than the early Mark IX which was distinctively based on converted Mark V airframes. I really wanted this mod in.

Any ideas :?:

I've got it to work after 'bout 10min of fiddling around. What you have to do is:

1) Unzip the .rar in a random folder

2) Open the folder and make your way down to the "FILES" folder, then rename it to let's say "SpitfireMkIXc"

3) Copy this renamed folder into your "game-root/MODS/" folder

4) Enjoy Wink

I've seen that this also affects the late '44 Spitfire Mk.IX 25lbs boost version... is there some way to limit the mod to the normal Mark IXc?
