Hi guys, I'm in a shock since I've found this site two weeks ago; what a great additions for our game! Of course I can't - and won't - tell Oleg what to do, but in his place I would know: incorporate all the mods in an ultimate version.
But after adding all these goodies to my game I wondered if there's a mod with which one can delete planes from the game? I'm sure I'll never will use the Lerche or the 262GH so I think it would be nice if I could remove these from the game, freeing up space, perhaps speeding the game up?

Now it's also in wrong section. Things like that should be posted in "mods discussion". I don't think it would speed up the game or free any serious space. Also it would cause incompatibility during online play.

Well The most you can clear up is like the cockpit and stuff..... But the mod is Just patching stuff on top. So either way..... It going to take more space.

You'd save what, 8mb at most +skin's... Not worth the effort.

HAHA if you Delete the skins folder you are saveing over 1.2GB ...Take a look.

Well maybe it is possible But hard. Make it that all setting are locked in 1 area 4 ex: all lowest Then you delete all the files need for any lower setting's. same with sound control's and etc. i bet that would lower it another couple MB's. maybe a gig. Then you cna fit it in your flash drive and play any were

In a year or so, flash drives will be so big that you can put not only IL2:1946, but also SH3, SH4 and SoW:BoB on one and still have room to spare!

(i got pretty much every offline campaign from M4T and then some, as well as a few addons (WOW, WOJ, WOC, TFA, TLD, BOE, ROH...) also a lot of skins. I don't fly online, so i kinda need the variety...)
