this plane was a true, real life 'frankenlane', designed by the germans, built by the spanish, run out of engines after ww2 & was adapted to fly with rolls royce, hence the big chin.......bloody engine wouldn't fit :lol: :lol: :lol:

Also I'll have a look at the Avia S.199 (with opening canopy - well I'll have a looksee at it at anyrate) and I'll finish off the K-14 too... (been meaning to get that done...)
In fact, there were two Spanish 109s: one with a Merlin and other with a Hispano-Suiza engine (both of them based in G-2 airframe) and armed with 2x20mm guns
