Mission Builders.. AI taxi after landing.
#1

Hi chaps.. I'm in the process of making a mission at the moment, but can't for the life of me work out how to get AI to taxi back to dispersal after landing. They just land and dissapear about half way down the runway at the moment.
How can I influence this? Or can anyone tell me what steps I need to take to get this to work..

I've posted this up on several mission building forums on other sites and got lots of views but no answers..lol!

I'd appreciate the help, thanks.. Dave S. Smile

I'm using the new Italy, Africa, Greece map.. Got my two flights landing nicely at the desired airfield in Sicily, all their landing routines seem fine between the hills with the correct spacing and approach.. but just spoils it when they disappear on the runway..

I think the problems are with AI spawn points. They same as you would spawn at dogfight in middle of the runway.

The problem is the map makers not in FMB. My opinion.

Any idea how that can be fixed? Or will I have to talk to the map team?

when the AI land, they follow the way points to the next available parking spot if there is not one, they disappear.

the next issue; why is there not an available spot?
could be 2 things
1- the map builder didn't place any AI parking/online spawn points
or
2 - the map maker has the correct type of way points but there is a static object (plane, tree, building, revettement) in the way that creates a collision hazard. The AI will treat the spot as unuseable and disappear. the AI will not "skip" a parking spot to look for another. it will just give up and vanish.

Hi Trooper...... if you are building a mission in the FMB or FMB+ and there are no clearly marked taxiways and parking places, it is easy to place objects upon the ground which will obstruct these.....so use the Fully unlocked FMB...(if the map will load into it...depend upon the size of the actors file) then take a screenshot of the airbase and you will see where all the taxiing and parking spots are....to work around when laying out your furniture..
