Flaps up, Landing flaps and nothing in between
#1

I've searched through the threads and haven't seen anything on this particular problem so here goes.

I started playing IL2 1946 and all is right with the world except when I am flying certain aircraft.
List below; In these aircraft when ever I hit the switch to lower flaps they would go directly to "Landing Flaps" Confusedhock: I thought it odd. Especially when the other birds in my flight could cycle through "combat" and "take off" flaps without difficulty. My computer isn't up to speed to play online so I'm stuck in Offline play for now. My controls configuration is correct.
I checked through every key and switch on my system and combination thereof.
My flaps go from "UP" to "LANDING" with no stop at "COMBAT" nor "TAKE OFF".
Assistance would be much appreciated.

The affected aircraft (that I know of) are:

BL-1
BL-6
and All MKs and Mods of;
Hurricane
I-16
J8A
Seafire
Spitfire
Including those added as AAA MODs. Help!

I know that the Spits only had two settings IRL, up or down.

Yeah, ever stop to think that some aircraft don't HAVE any other setting? If you have an analog axis you can use that and get any specific flap setting you want regardless of presets the game has defined.

Hi Hotdog,

Yea I thought about that and was OK with it until the AI aircraft were setting flaps for take off and all I could get was Landing flaps. After digging into a few things and some support from here and another IL2 site I have found that it is precisely that.
I appreciate y'all taking the time to reply. See you upstairs some day.
