Hi all,

Id like to modify the picture used when the game starts (to create a little mod for my virtual squadron). Is it possible to create a simple mod for that or just specify the file i have to change ?

Moreover i want to modify the background.tga (picture when the game is loaded) i saw his size is 512*512, i can change it, but only 512*512 works. Is it possible to change that and create a beautifull personal picture with 1024*1024 or better 1920*...

yup, .... 1024x1024 tga (24bit) is totally acceptable by game ( for larger i'm not sure ..)

mod structure for splash screen ( loading screen):

gameroot\MODS"nameofyourmod"\gui\

files:
background0.tga
background0.mat

well, i did answer it .... background0.tga / background0.mat are the files for loading screen

and i provided mod structure for it ....

here is my mod which changes all game interface to old FB stile + new loading screen ( use it as template...)

But .... The picture of LOADING is different of the picture of the MENU GAME !!!

For the menu game its background = OK (thx)

loading picture before menu IS : background0.tga ... not background.tga ( located in missions folder)

this is mine , located in: MODS\mybackground\gui\
