Copy whatever screenie you wish to your desktop then convert into a TGA File and rename it 'background':
Load up screen goes: IL-2: 46/Files/gui (Copy your original 'background 1st though) and paste within.
Game screen:
......same as above but place in:
IL-2:46/Missions
